I was suffering from a lack of fitness, and my joints were suffering, so I joined the Joint Pain Program. It was honestly life changing for me, I gained confidence and actually looked forward to working out, so much so I even started going to my local gym as well as the program. It has helped immensely. My trainer Alejandro was so nice and accommodating and patient. He pushes you even when you think you have done enough. I cannot recommend him and the Program enough. Also the facilities are great and staff are very nice.

I was referred to the joint program in Nov 2024 due to rheumatoid arthritis. Swollen joints and pain had reduced my activity and mobility. I was apprehensive at first because I was the youngest attendee, but everyone in the group attend for a variety of reasons. Now in the 2nd phase of the program, I am attending the gym independently and increasing my strength training. Alejandro has helped me build my confidence again, my inflammation is less frequent and the pain not as severe.
This is such a great initiative, I would like to see more of this.

I'll start with the good: I like that's theres parking, and I like the spa music played in the change rooms.
Emily was at reception and she is amazing! It's because of her helpful, 5 star attitude this isn't a 1 star review. She really went above and beyond, thank you Emily!
The bad:
It irks me that this is the same gym as the city branches, they are just worlds apart. I would appreciate more clarity on where offers towels and where doesn't, this is the second gym I have come short at.
The toilets and hallways are freezing! The shower cubicals are tiny with no doors, there is one squat rack in the whole gym. The lockers are a different system to the city gyms but you don't find that out till you get there. Again, thanks to Emily that was sorted, but more clarity before arriving!

I cannot recommend Alejandro enough! After having knee pain following exercise I attended the Joint Pain Programme 12-week course with Alejandro, I can honestly say the results have been nothing short of amazing. Alejandro’s advice and the techniques taught have improved my mobility and reduced the strain that was causing the pain. Each session has been productive and enjoyable and I always felt supported and motivated and now feel more confident to make full use of all the gym equipment. Alejandro is incredibly knowledgeable and his attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference. I am sad that the 12 weeks are up as I will miss the sessions but my knee pain has reduced and I feel stronger and confident in my ability to continue this progress on my own. I am so grateful for Alejandro's expertise, patience and encouragement throughout this journey.

I cannot say enough about how different I have been and felt since joining Alejandro’s joint pain sessions. This is both physically, mentally and emotionally. I am fitter and able to manage myself physically better. But even more so, I am happier and look forward to the sessions. It is sometimes hard to get get there but Alejandro has a way that encourages and motivates me. Thank you Nuffield and thank you Alejandro for changing my life for the better.

I have just completed the Joint Pain Project at the Nuffield gym in Battersea and can’t praise the course highly enough. Alejandro was our trainer and although we were in a (small) group, it was as if we had our own personal trainer. Alejandro is professional, knowledgeable and very thorough, and would differentiate the lessons to target each person’s needs. I finished the course feeling so much better physically and mentally, and with a much better understanding of how exercise, and muscle strengthening could, and did, alleviate my joint pain. I also feel much more confident using the gym.

Ale is a fantastic trainer knowledgeable, compassionate, caring, focussed and only wants the people in his care to get better. My colleagues were important to me too, caring and encouraging. There was a leak as I walked in. But the staff behind the desk were fantastic, new manager Nick (I think) is great and welcoming. The staff were having fun.

Old equipment but again, the staff are great, Ryan I think?
