I stayed in the DoubleTree Denver Cherry Creek location one evening in January. I was in town because, unfortunately, my sister-in-law passed away. Upon checking in, the hotel staff member, Pierre, was incredibly kind. He waived my parking fee and gave me a free item from their little store in the lobby. My Mom and sister had arrived the day before, and when he put that together, he was incredibly empathetic and kind. My sister-in-law passed away the next day, and we needed to move to a hotel in Boulder, where she and my brother lived. We had reservations for three nights and had only stayed one. After we left the hospital, we went back to the DoubleTree. It was now around 2:00 pm, and I figured they might charge us for the night and hopefully not for the following evening. Tyler was on duty and immediately canceled our following two evenings upon learning of our situation. He then came out from behind his desk and asked if he could hug each of us. Kindness during grief is a treasure, and both of these young gentlemen went above and beyond. If you need somewhere to stay in this area, I highly recommend the DoubleTree.

Not a very pleasant stay. We ended up having to switch rooms because the first room was hellishly hot. The temperature was set to 77 degrees and the thermostat on the wall didn’t work. When I spoke to the front desk, Maria told me “that’s just how it is” and offered to change our room. This was a major hassle at 1:30 in the morning, we just drove across three states and we were looking forward to some much needed sleep. We ended up having to move rooms because in addition to the insanely hot temperature, the toilet wouldn’t flush, the sink wouldn’t drain, and the body wash in the shower was empty. We asked for a plunger so we could maybe get the toilet to flush and Maria from the front desk said “we don’t have one”. What kind of hotel doesn’t have a plunger? It just felt like one negative after another with this hotel unfortunately, and the customer service was pretty abysmal. When I stay at a Hilton property I expect the basic amenities like a working air conditioner and bathroom fixtures that function. And some better customer service would have been nice too, no one offered to fill the body wash or unplug the sink/toilet. Having to move rooms was a major inconvenience and the only compensation was a free breakfast which we ended up not being able to utilize. After all this when we asked for a manager’s business card, Maria at the front desk flat out refused to give us one. Not very professional nor what I would expect from a major hotel brand.

Nice rooms. Very good condition. Elevators were fast but did not make you feel they were going fast. At breakfast, the Death by Pork is a must. For dinner, the hotel restaurant was better than most. Maria and Zak took care of me. The food was fantastic. The salmon was the best with the Airline Chicken a close second. I would go eat here even if I was not staying here. Great place to stay, great place to eat.

I stayed in this hotel to check out Denver. Parking is an additional $15( which should be included instead of separate tbh) and breakfast is an additional fee. It's close to target and other stores which was nice. The room felt premium will say, the bed, the lights, the bathroom and the outdoor lounge is nice too. The bathroom does NOT have a hairdryer which is a miss. One of the elevators was down, but there's another right next to it.

Melanie, Melanie Melanie, she is one of the best customer service representative I have ever met. I travel 10 to 20 times a month and stay in hotels all over the country and I had the pleasure to meet this wonderful spirit. She was so kind and helpful to me when I was not my best and I must say, my interaction with her proves to me that good people exist. I would highly recommend this hotel and say for the record, the staff here Lina and Maria at The Bar are some of the most hospitable people I have ever met. I will continue to stay here because of these people and you should too!

This was our second time at this hotel, but our second stay was far more disappointing than our first... here is why:

1. We purchased a room with one King Bed, but we were given a room with two queen beds.

2. The cabinets and bedside table was visibly dirty (see images). I had to wipe some gunk off of the handle to the drawer under the TV.

3. We visited in January and there was no way to turn the temperature of the room below 75. We were burning up through the night, quite uncomfortable.

Only reason this isn't a 1-star is because the location is good. Very disappointed nonetheless.

Don’t stay here, plenty of other hotels in the area. Had to move rooms at 1:30am because the heat was set to almost 80 degrees and wouldn’t go any lower. Way too hot to sleep, it was insanely uncomfortable. The toilet wouldn’t flush, the sink wouldn’t drain, and the body wash was empty. No one who works at the hotel offered to fix these issues. Maria at the front desk gave us some pretty nasty attitude and told us the only option was to move rooms into a different tower. When we asked for a managers business card she refused to give us one. Very unprofessional.
