I usually don’t leave bad reviews but honestly…Super old equipment, 1 squat rack for the whole gym, lots of other essential equipment missing. Dirty bordering on unhygienic. The pool is ridiculously over-filled. Booking allows 7 people to a lane? Or maybe the system doesn’t realise how many lanes are taken up with kids swim classes but that kind of thing needs to be regulated. How can you swim with 7 people in a lane.

Sad situation with cleaning. They should definitely find a cleaner. Mostly lockers are broken and unuseable. I wouldn't consider a subscription here. It doesn't look safe(

The dirtiest and most disgusting gym I have ever seen. The entire place smells terrible, and each area reeks differently. The locker room is filthy, full of trash, and resembles a prison shower.

The layout of the equipment is bizarre. The gym machines are old and rusty, with cans, paper, and other garbage scattered all over the place. I give this place a zero.

There have been repeated issues with the gym's morning opening hours. Over the past month, I have arrived at the gym at 6am on at least three occasions, only to find it closed. Each time, a group of members, including myself, has waited between 15 to 30 minutes for a staff member to open the centre, but no one has shown up. There has been no explanation, notice, or apology to members for these delays, which is becoming a frequent occurrence. This situation is particularly concerning during the winter months when it is still dark outside, making the wait both inconvenient and uncomfortable. As a paying customer who specifically chose this membership for early morning access before work, I am frustrated and disappointed by the lack of reliability. The repeated disregard for your customers has led me to consider looking for another gym, and I can no longer recommend Better Gym based on my recent experiences.

The centre is due a major refurbishment which explains many of the reviews. The staff, though, are amazing. Nadia's dance fitness class is an absolute gem within the programme (if you can get a spot - which is tough!)

Awful. Changing rooms stink of urine. Half the machines in the gym do not work. They never get fixed. The don’t have stair masters. Equipment is very old. They need to do a deep clean of all areas. Would give zero stars if I could.

I used to the pool and the health suite. The staff and people were super friendly but the pool and changing room facilities aren't fit for purpose. Paint chips off from the railings rusting away above the pool, there's dirt and debris on the pool bottom, it has algae and mould growing everywhere, and the changing rooms reek of sewage. The sauna was small but nice, but the lockers in the health suite had mould growing on them too. There are no showers with doors in the health suite and it's mixed, so you can't properly shower after the sauna.

Scaffolding is holding up the roof in the activities hall making it hard to play badminton and the shuttle is always hitting it and disrupting the game. In addition to the over priced court, they now make you pay an additional fee once you get there for another player. Why shouldn't the price of the court include 2 players? You can't play badminton alone! They then said it was a facility cost.. there isn't anywhere to fill up your water bottle and the toilets are unusable, the floors are always soaking wet and stink. Rude staff and unusable facilities.. a complete rip off! Avoid.
