Very nice staff. Many open lanes on Saturday after 12 with the short lanes. Water is clean and 🪥 comfortable. Bathrooms haven't changed in a long time and could use some tlc.

I am updating my review from 5* to 2* because a lot of people do not shower before entering the pool and there is no enforement of their rule on showering. Most people just come an change at the bleachers next to the pool and then dive in. Disgusting. Should be stopped.
Can't understand the bad reviews. Been there 2x and the staff is friendly. The pools is not too busy. The parking only a third full. The cost is better than reasonable.

The swimming program is awesome. The facility is beautiful, clean, and the staff are friendly. The swim team in particular, they constantly checked on the kids and the parents to reassure safety and fun. One of the lifeguards/swim staff that stood out was Chris. His patience with my daughter who has autism was amazing. And lotta was great as well. thank you guys, I will be back next week!!

This a great public pool that provides swimmers a great spot to swim. Run by the City of Raleigh, this is one of many pools that are managed well. I typically go swimming in the morning, and have always able to get a great workout with swimming the short and long course. The long course are opened in the AM, and I have found waiting for the swim teams to wrap up is best, as they take of many of the lanes from 0530-0700. I'm a fan. Thank you City of Raleigh for this service.

I went at 6:45AM and found plenty of lane space, clean water and a nice locker room. I really liked that my lane had both backstroke flags and flags going down the lane to keep me straight. I had the whole deep end to myself for a bit. Not used to swimming in 14 feet depth but I liked it.

Things have changed since it's been at least 20 years that I've been swimming here. The last time I've been here was summer 2003 when I was seventeen. On the other hand, there are some things that I want to address as a 37-year-old man although I'm not here to be rude or disrespectful about this facility. When I went to check in for swimming, I found out that they don't provide a lock for me to lock my personal belongings (clothes, undergarments, socks, hangers, wallet, and phone) in one of the lockers in the men's locker room. So, I decided to go old school by taking my belongings with me back to the car and lock them in it after I changed into my swimsuit, and then I zipped my car keys in my back pocket while carrying my black towel and my white tennis shoes on my bare feet, so that way, it's easier for me to keep up with them while I'm going swimming. When I was in the middle of doing my eleventh lap swimming, one of the aquatics director told me that they were low on staffing from the lifeguard team, so he had to move us from 14' deep end to less than 6' towards the shallow end. I'm like, "O wow. Not only am I surprised about the staff not providing any locks for any swimming customers, but they are short on lifeguards at a large pull" I also overheard that the other swimmers were talking about they were trying to find somewhere to dive into the pool since the diving boards have been closed down, including the high diving board being taking down since I just came back here. All I can say is that if I had to choose between this aquatic center and the one in Morrisville, it would probably be Morrisville Aquatic Center in Morrisville due to the fact that Morrisville still provides a lock for people to lock up their belongings just as long as they have to trade their keys in for a lock until they are done using the facility. I know this is Pullen Aquatic Center, NOT the Morrisville one, but so what? Just because people are people and are going to be people doesn't mean that I can let them phase me any kind of way. At the end of the day, see what happens if they watch me come back here next time with my personal lock to lock my belongings if I ever swim here again...DUH. Well at least they still are not gonna say anything about what lock I purchased before coming here because I know they did not say nothing about me going old school by going in and out of the building only when I got done changing clothes without no cause. I paid eight dollars for swimming here, with or without a lock.

Best pool around for serious lap swimming in the area. Lanes are very wide; they stick to their 50-meter lap swimming schedule (which is very generous in this area); the pace clock is excellent. I do find the water temp. a bit warm (prefer closer to 80) and wish their kick boards were larger (better for my bad back). Could care less about locker rooms - I'm there to SWIM.
