Pool Life guard training course.
Just completed the RLSS Pool Life Guard training at Portobello facility and highly recommend the Swim Center for other prospective would be life Guards.
Being 52 years old I am not your typical teenage, early 20s life Guard, Louise and her team ensured our small group were completely competent going into our final exam and we all passed with flying colours. Sinead our trainer was energetic highly motivated and patiently ensured I had gained all the necessary skills required to become a qualified Life guard.
Portobello swim center is a gorgeous building it felt a privilege to spend a week training in the historic building.

We swim and gym here multiple times a week.
I love the gym and the actual pool but the swimming changing rooms need regular cleaning. The floor is always filthy .. we use a family changing room and always rinse down with the hose next to it and squeegee the floor. Even when using flip flops it’s still v unpleasant. All
It needs is regular clean ups by staff and especially agree busy classes.

Turkish baths are great but the unisex changing rooms throw me off a bit, should be separate changing rooms I'd say but other than that it is a brilliant experience.

I do not recommend this place. Encouraged by the reviews, I went there with a friend to the Turkish Baths. Unfortunately, it was dirty, smelled like sewage, and the place made me feel anxious rather than relaxed. We left early and will not be returning.

Changing rooms are very small, there is no privacy as there men and woman in the same area plus who ever else in just standing about.
The floor is covered with clumps of hair sticking to my feet (BOKE). I will not be back
