Village Square Leisure Centre is an amazing place for family fun and fitness! The swimming pool is a highlight with its wave pool, slides, and hot tub—perfect for kids and adults alike. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and offers a wide range of activities, including fitness classes and skating. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. It’s a great spot to stay active and make lasting memories. Highly recommend it for a day out or regular visits

I have been a long-time patron of the Village Square Leisure Centre and recently brought my five children and their friend for a swim. While I appreciate the excellent pricing and facilities, I would like to share some concerns regarding my recent experience.

During our visit, I observed a troubling incident involving a group of approximately ten teenagers bullying another individual. Despite the situation unfolding in plain sight, I was disappointed to see that the lifeguard on duty did not intervene initially. After witnessing the bullying escalate, I felt compelled to step in to assist the victim. When I approached the lifeguard to express my concerns, she stated that she was unable to divert her attention from the pool. Thankfully, my friend spoke with another lifeguard, who promptly called security to address the situation. Consequently, the individuals involved were banned from the facility.

Additionally, I encountered an unexpected policy regarding life jackets in the hot tub. My three-year-old son, who is non-verbal and can swim confidently with my support, was denied entry after a 15-minute wait because he does not wear a life jacket. When I inquired about this policy, I was informed that life jackets are not permitted in the hot tub. After further discussion, another lifeguard graciously allowed us to enter, but I believe clearer communication regarding such policies is necessary to avoid confusion.

I would also like to suggest that staff training be enhanced to better address the needs of individuals with mental disabilities. Ensuring that all patrons feel safe and accommodated is essential for a positive experience.

Thank you for your attention to these matters. I genuinely appreciate the facilities your centre offers and hope that my feedback can contribute to improvements in the future.

First rate public facility. The kid loves the splash park and the wave pool. He's only 3, so no big slides yet. Price was fair. Everything seemed clean and maintained.

This is a good leisure centre to go work out and swim. The wave pool is really fun and a great workout. It's a good place to keep active and destress. The water slides are fun and a great way to get enjoyment in the day.

A'sFitness

The Village Square is a solid leisure spot, though it’s currently in the middle of renovations, and it always seems like there’s something being worked on.

While this is understandable, it can disrupt the flow at times. I think the gym equipment could use an upgrade as well. It's starting to show some wear and could benefit from newer, more modern machines.

Despite these areas of improvement, it’s still a convenient and reliable location for fitness, and I'm excited to see how it looks once all renovations are complete.

Last weekend when I went swimming the pool had to be close to capacity, the water turned extremely cloudy and the pool bottom was also slimy. The drive tank and hot tub weren't open. Another time I found a metal ring at the bottom of the pool. I think they need to pay attention to they hire as well
