Water aerobics class is very nice and friendly instructors and classmates. The water is warm and refreshing. I enjoy the workout because it builds strength and gives ne a good start to my day. It also gives me energy to get through these winter days.

Every single staff person I've interacted with has been friendly and helpful, the facilities are sparkling clean and the lifeguards in the pool are also helpful and attentive to the safety of everyone in the water.

The childcare center here is unmatched. Ms Lauren, Ms. Chelsea, Ms. Marley, and Mr John take amazing care of the kids and you can tell they love it! They remember all my kids names and things they like etc. They make such effort to give mom's a break to exercise! The facility is a bit of a maze and not super modern and I wish there were windows bc there's none in most of the workout spaces. BUT I'd go here every time purely for the outstanding childcare.

I love the warm community that Birmingham YMCA creates! As soon as you enter the front door, you're greeted with a smile and a hello.This Y has innovative kids' programming like cooking to teach invaluable life skills. They provide leadership and teamwork for children and young adults through a multitude of events and classes, not merely those focused on sports. I appreciate the wider range of offerings to engage children and adults.Facilities always clean and welcoming.

The women's changing room could use some updating and more windows or sun lights would be welcome, though.

The pool is great, the most brightly lit spot in the lower floor.

I enjoy all the classes I attend at the Y, instructors are knowledgeable and available for personal comments on your progress, it's nice there are classes almost every day of the week and in my time preference. I am usually there 4-5 mornings a week and have made several friends. I highly recommend the Birmingham Y

Everyone on staff is very friendly; the facilities (locker rooms), while older, are very clean; I'm usually there 3 days a week to swim and use the weight machines. I like having the ability to reserve a swim lane, though it would be great if this could be done online rather than over the phone. I appreciate the masking, social distancing, and cleaning. I've only been a member for a few months, but I've really enjoyed it..
