Fishing, camping, canoeing and kayaking down the Brazos River. Great for weekends and kids. Owners are friendly and very helpful. There is a store for all your outdoor needs. Highly recommend!

My husband and I went for our anniversary and had a fun experience. We got rained on which was a bummer but definitely plan to come back when it’s not raining. It was easy to get to. The people were nice. Bathroom was clean. The kayaks were nice. No complaints!

These people here seem to competing and talking bad about the other canoe place (Rhodes Canoe Rentals), when ever there's plenty of business for the both of them, it's very unprofessional and they shouldn't do that to a fellow business owner as they know how difficult times can be at times so it would be beneficial if they could work together, and make both business that much better for each other. Why people have to act this way I don't know it's ridiculous

9/2024: I wanted to update my review. This is by far the best place to camp, float and spend time with your family. They even treat you like their own family. I am and always be a huge supporter of this place

9/2023 I am very happy with the service and the owner Brian, and everybody that works. There was absolutely fantastic. Our brakes went out on the RV while we were pulling in and they let us stay an extra day even though they were close to make sure that we got the brakes fixed and everything was taken care of so we could leave safely. I would highly recommend even if you go on a day pass or if you go camping to visit here it’s well worth it.

The only downside was the white and black dog that came and ripped open our trash bag and went through our camp, and we woke up to trash and food, and everything scattered everywhere around our campsite and a bunch of ants .

We've seen this place from the highway several times and have always been curious about it. We finally decided to check it out. The employees are friendly, helpful, and know the area. The bathrooms are clean and the grounds are easy to get around. It's not just a camp ground, so don't think you have to camp in order to enjoy the water activities. Call ahead to book your spot/activity. Our original plan was to go tubing, but the water was too low and tubing wasn't an option. So we ended up renting a canoe. Boy was that fun! There's plenty of banks and islands along the river. If you need to rest, just pull over and find some shade. We came across a number of people on the river, either fishing, resting, or paddling downstream. It's a good workout from start to finish. You're surrounded by water, so it's easy to cool off. I have no idea how you can miss the big bridge that is the exit, and they do warn you several times to get off at the bridge. We'll definitely be back with the rest of our family, so we can do this together. Some advice: take water (camel packs or insulated water bottles), wear plenty of sunscreen (a swim shirt goes a long way), and wear good sandals like Tevas or Chacos. We'll definitely be back! Fantastic place, and amazing staff! Family camping trip was a huge success. They have everything you could possibly need - even hot showers. We forgot a couple of things at home, and they had all necessities, plus camping gear for a great price. Can't wait to come back!

I simply cannot say enough good things about both the service of the team and the comfortable facility! Great camping and float trip, with all the comforts of home that you can ask for while camping. Hot showers, clean restrooms, store on-site for anything you forget (as we always seem to do). They even were kind enough to accommodate me on their day off! Great people, friendly and informative advice about camping and floating. Two thumbs way up, can't wait to return with friends!
