DO NOT build with this company. My house was completed in Sept. 2023 and bricks are falling off the side of my home already. Reached out to the warranty department and they're refusing to fix this. Says it's not warrantable. This is on the corner of the house in a grassy area. They had the nerve to ask if something had hit it. Only thing that ever touches that spot is my water hose. Was in my previous home with another builder x5 years and never had bricks falling off home. If I could give negative stars I would.

8/14/24---after posting this review they did come out to repair the brick that had fallen off. Glad they did that but I still would not recommend them to anyone.

I have built homes with different builders and this is the worst. These homes are garbage at best. The warranty department is a joke. A absolute joke! They won’t fix anything. We have dealt with four different people since sending in our one year warranty issues. All to be told nothing is getting fixed basically. I would never recommend this builder to anyone. And it is evident from other reviews that Brightland is consistently terrible. I wonder what interesting reading we would have if everyone posted a review. I am so disappointed we paid over a half million dollars for this home.

The “warranty” is bogus. Con artists. Shoddy work. Builders grade at best. Be sure if you do get stuck using them, require a THROUGH inspection and follow behind that and do your own inspection as well.
While this is clearly a contractor issue (Allen Gowdey Builder), Brightland homes employs them and then they further subcontract the work out. Every time we turn around we find yet another “surprise”. Neighbors have had similar issues and same contractor was used on their homes as well.

They do not respect property lines and will use your property as part of their job site for setting up equipment and dumping trash. Be aware and document all unlawful practices if you are a neighbor to their construction site. This is the most ridiculous situation I have ever seen.

Trying to get a warranty request submitted for their 10 year structural warranty but seem to be getting nowhere. They don’t have a phone number on their website so you can’t even call them. I can’t wait to sell this house. Don’t even trying calling them no one ever picks up. They also never respond to your warranty request forms online. All the reviews on their website is BS.

Awful experience during the build process with tons of issues, including building code violations. Many of the issues along the way were resolved, but now, after closing, they now refuse to fix water damage issues in my bathroom. The warranty you sign essentially says they can refuse to fix whatever they want. The wall next to my shower have mold on them due to their shoddy building quality. My home is only 6 months old, and there's already mold issues. I have submitted multiple warranty requests regarding this only for all of it to get rejected. What's the point of having a warranty when they can reject whatever they want?

As an executive that has relocated across the country and used multiple builders this is by far the worst experience ever.
1. They threatened me with a $500 late closing fee - the reason for the delayed closing was them - they did not have the roof completed and the appraiser marked incomplete. There justification was they had the clear to occupy
2. They use the cheapest contractors and are fine with it - a new home should feel new - see pictures - stay away
3. They hold you to a dead line yet I have turned my 60 day in and there is nothing but crickets
4. I hope this review saves a inexperienced homebuyer from making a bad mistake,
5 why did we make the mistake- our fault we bought and assumed we have always experienced great builders - we bought during the boom from far away - never again
6. The craftsmanship can be described as elementary level

I had great dreams about my first home in United States, Gehan Homes ruined my dream by giving third class quality of home and worst service. Apartments will have better quality of products but to home which I signed for $600K has worst quality. I am writing this with very deeply hurt and disappointed customer. Please don’t go with these guys, they cheat people.
