Awesome pool for kiddos!!!!! 😁😁💦💦💦👍👍 Of ALL the public Raleigh area pools, THIS one is by FAR the BEST!!! It has a water slide, it has a lazy river, it has a splashpad, it has a WHIRLPOOL, it has water basketball, it has water jets, it has a large public pool area, it has a lap pool area, it allows birthday parties, and they allow pool toys! Great place to take your family for fun swim time! They have two different prices though, depending on whether you pay your local taxes to the City of Raleigh or to the County of Wake… We literally live two miles down the road from the pool, but, they “had” to charge us the higher price for some odd reason… But, if your taxes go to the City of Raleigh, you pay a much cheaper price, makes no logical sense to me at all, but nonetheless, still a great pool! They really need to bring their height requirement down for their water slide though. It’s set really high at 48”….36”-40” would allow a lot more kids to use it. Four feet height requirement is high in my opinion for a children’s water slide. Both Kings Dominion, Kings Island, and Great Wolf Lodge’s water slides are not set this high. Even Carnival Cruise-lines brand new ship, the Celebration, that we sailed on over a year ago, my six-year-old son could ride two of the three larger waterslides on it. They all allow smaller kids to ride on most of their slides…

Buffaloe Road Aquatic Center Review

We recently visited the Buffaloe Road Aquatic Center, and overall, it was a wonderful experience for the entire family! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the facility itself was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed.

The aquatic center had a fantastic toddler area with engaging features that kept our little ones entertained. The fun ramp leading into the big pool was a great touch, making it easy for kids to transition between play areas. My kids especially loved the whirlpool and the “lazy river”—they couldn’t stop laughing and splashing around!

I recommend getting there a few minutes before the doors open, we did and there was a line of people to get in.

The only downside to our visit was that the water was a bit chilly. Even though my kids shivered through most of the time, they were still having so much fun that it didn’t stop them from enjoying every minute. Despite the cool water, it was a great outing, and we’ll definitely be back for more fun, maybe in the spring/summer time!

I love that the pool is not busy - we’re often the only ones there on weekdays. My kids live the lazy river and “tornado pool”. Personally I wish the water was a little warmer - the toddler pool is often chilly. Nonetheless, I hope they’ll open back up for events, as we’d love to have a birthday party here!

Beautiful facility but rarely operational. We went here for the first time for my daughter’s birthday with just our family of four. It cost $55. We loved the slide but it was only open 10-20 minutes an hour and the lifeguard was on his phone the whole time and gave no advice on how to go down safely. One lifeguard kept whistling over random things. We weren’t allowed to use the paddle boards. You can’t climb up on the sides, you have to use the ladders. Once they said you can’t be in the whirlpool area without a parent but didn’t reinforce that the rest of the four hours. The whole experience seemed very restrictive for $55.

Jonathan is the most thoughtful employee there. I have been taking my 27 yo son with autism there for over 10 years. He loves the slide and when we come at off times, Jonathan always goes out of his way to open the slide for him. He's a definite asset to your team and i know he will be an asset to the world

Nice, clean pool. That chlorine smell is no joke, though; we were all coughing half way through our time there and my eyes were watering the entire time. Also seems like getting there right when it opens is the best way to avoid having to wait, or getting there at like 12 or 1.

Nice indoor pool with slide and small lazy river. One thing I DONT care for and is unnecessary is all the kids have to get out of the pool every 45 min or so for the adults only swimming. This is pointless and there is usually maybe one or two adults at most swimming.
