Gulcin in the spa was AMAZING. She was extremely helpful and crafted a perfect spa relaxation experience for my wife and me during my wife's birthday celebration getaway. Thanks so much! ||||Michelle and Judy in the 290 Brewery Restaurant were also great and provided excellent customer service. The young lady in the Wine Tasting Room provided an informative and enjoyable tasting experience as well. Thanks so much to the staff. The grounds were pristine and enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

I was torn how to write this review. It’s a good location and quaint villas. But! The moldy/mildew smell smacks you in the face as soon as you enter the villa. The bathroom needed a good scrub as there was hair and sticky stuff on walls and the shower has mold stains in the corner. As an accessible room, they have a few things to learn. The dorm size fridge should not be on the floor and the bed is too high. The bedroom tv is also too high on the ceiling and many of the switches did not work. In order to turn off the ceiling fans you’d have to climb on something to reach the cord. The jacuzzi tub is a nice thought but when the water has softener in it, the tub becomes a dangerous slip n slide. No amount of grab bars will save you. And finally, there is no safety latch on the door.

They have a massive hang out room just off the lobby but no happy hour or breakfast offered. Why have the room that’s essentially of no use? Id say that’s the biggest thing missing to make it a better stay. And getting rid of the mold. When I advised the front desk about the mold, I received a deadpan look and told they’d advise maintenance. It didn’t seem as if it was a surprise.

All that being said, the bed was comfy, the electric fireplace is a nice touch, it’s a quiet location and the restaurant/brewery nearby is nice and had great service.

Love the spacious rooms and the lovely property with lots of landscaping. We always get an accessible room here with a walk-in/roll-in shower. These rooms have parking right in front of them and are the closest to the common area that houses the restaurant and tasting room. Love that booking direct with the resort includes two wine tasting tickets to their tasting room.

Staff while checking in were very friendly. I stayed a one of the Villas and it was very nice with beautiful butterflies right outside my window! So pretty! The pavilion area was great with a perfect atmosphere. If you are looking for a nice winery, check this place out!

My wife and I recently spent a magical weekend at Carter Creek, and it exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning beauty of the property and the serene hill country surroundings.

The private villas were a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, providing us with a cozy and intimate retreat. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, making us feel pampered and at home.

As others have mentioned the staff was exceedingly kind and a pleasure to be around. Even when things didn’t go as expected which happens everywhere the ability for the staff to overcome and focus on making our experiences great really set this apart.

The food was simply outstanding. Every meal was a culinary delight, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients that were expertly prepared. Dining at the resort was an experience in itself, one we looked forward to each day.

The spa was another highlight of our stay. The treatments were rejuvenating, and the staff was incredibly professional and attentive. It was the perfect way to unwind and relax.

One of the most impressive aspects of Carter Creek is their pet-friendly policy. We brought our furry friend along, and it was heartwarming to see how welcomed pets are at the resort. They truly go above and beyond to ensure every guest, including the four-legged ones, has an enjoyable stay.

The vineyard was absolutely breathtaking, and the wine selection was top-notch. We enjoyed exploring the vineyard and tasting the exquisite wines. It was a delightful experience that added a special touch to our weekend.

Overall, Carter Creek is a gem in the hill country. The combination of luxurious accommodations, delectable food, a relaxing spa, pet-friendly environment, and a beautiful vineyard makes it a perfect getaway. We can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories here. Highly recommend!

Great resort but looks like they are terribly understaffed for a labor day weekend. On Saturday night they refuse dinner service at 8pm, one hour prior to closing. And on Sunday morning (we came in as soon as kitchen opened at 9am) and have been waiting for any food after an hour. Please don't expect to eat breakfast/dinner here if you are staying. It's good for lodging and wine tasting. Can't say anything about the restaurant as they seemed incompetent to even serve food

I spent the recent Labor Day weekend at this resort with my family. The room seemed like it had not been cleaned well as the furniture was dusty. We also requested the room to be cleaned after the first night and it was not. We were told at check-in that there would be a $125 incidental fee charged and we could use it to go towards spending at the resort or restaurant. We made a reservation at the restaurant, and it took more than 1 hour to be served our food after ordering. I was told by the server that the $125 would be credited from the incidental fee. We also purchased three bottles of wine after the wine tasting. At checkout, I noticed I was billed for the restaurant purchase and the 2 night stay. I asked the front desk why I had not been credited for the $125, and she mentioned they they would credit later once they reviewed what was spent at the resort. Later on in the week, I found out I received no credit and was told by the front desk that they reviewed with accounting and that they saw no error, and apologized for the miscommunication. I am very patient with anyone in the customer service industry, but to be told the same thing by three different employees, a miscommunication excuse is unacceptable. This resort does not meet the expectations of a $300/night stay.

THE SPIDER EGGS WERE EVERYWHERE (Pictures included). We walked into the first room and I immediately had spider webs on my leg. I reached under a chair and had spider web all over my hand, flipped the chair over to find spiders and spider eggs all over it. We were moved rooms to 1604 to find that there were spiders and spider eggs under EVERY PIECE OF FURNITURE! They did not offer to have house keeping come clean the new room, instead I had to use a towel and wipe up the eggs, webs, and living spiders. Management was persistent that it’s “just east Texas” and that it’s a normal thing to have spider eggs everywhere in a home. I explained I understood about a spider on the wall, but this is a bit different. They gave me a 100$ discount for one night and a “50$” bottle of wine. Unfortunately other hotels were booked in the area due to Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg or we would have left immediately. Booking.com said it was a 6% interest rate, I showed them the email, they said it was a mistake and charged me 13%. They obviously do not care about their guests and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
