Wir waren zur Jahreswende in San Antonio, um das größte Sylvesterfeuerwerk in Texas zu sehen, und suchten ein bezahlbares Hotel mit Balkonzimmern und Blick zum Tower of the Americas.||Die Lage des Courtyard ist perfekt: unmittelbar am Riverwalk mit direktem Zugang über die Bistro-Terrasse; Main Plaza, Riverwalk Center, La Villita und Alamo liegen nur ein paar Minuten Fußweg entfernt. Das Hotelbistro schien uns überteuert, aber das kulinarische Angebot in der Nähe ist riesig; praktisch nebenan findet man eines der besten Restaurants von Texas (Biga On The Banks).||Gemessen an den Preisen der umliegenden Häuser wohnt man im Courtyard ausgesprochen günstig. Der Hausservice ist leider schon sehr früh unterwegs - wenn man ausschlafen möchte, sollte man besser das Privacy-Schild benutzen.||Das einzige große Problem: das Valet Parking! Die happigen Parkgebühren kann man mit Buchung einer Inklusiv-Rate in Grenzen halten, aber das Hotel verfügt weder über Parkplätze, noch eine Garage; die Autos werden in einiger Entfernung abgestellt und wenn man seinen Wagen dringend benötigt, hat man schlechte Karten. Wir mussten bis zu 25 Minuten warten und verpassten beinahe unsere Dinner-Reservierung.||Am Besten sollte man für die Dauer des Aufenthaltes das Auto stehen lassen und sich gegebenenfalls an Busse oder (Wasser-)Taxis halten.||Und so bekommt man Zimmer mit traumhafter Aussicht über San Antonio:||gleich bei der Buchung (über Marriott) ein Zimmer mit Stadtblick wählen, unter Präferenzen „oberes Stockwerk“ eingeben und sich ein paar Tage zuvor noch mal eine telefonische Bestätigung für eine der obersten Etagen holen.

Wir sind an einem Sonntag mit dem Mietwagen angekommen.Der Verkehr war daher kein Problem und auch das Suchen einer Parkgarage(wegen der horrenden Gebühren des Hotels) um die Ecke war einfach.Unter der Woche stell ichs mir um einiges schwieriger vor.Das Courtyard liegt direkt am Riverwalk,die Zimmer sind schön aber klein,die Mitarbeiter sind professionell freundlich.||Wer nur eine Nacht bleiben will um den Riverwalk in alle Richtungen abzugehen,dem kann ich dieses Hotel sehr empfehlen.

Friendly staff. They have fresh, cold, infused water near the front desk. The entrance was very inviting. The lobby has many seating areas that you can socialize with friends, coworkers, or watch football. We used the area to play card games, it was very nice. They do have a bar area that serves food Starbucks and alcohol. The margaritas were expensive but good.
The valet parking was also pricey but worth it. I am not a big traveler, so I liked that the valet was made to be very easy. I scanned the receipt they gave me. There is a screen in the lobby that tells you the process of your vehicle and when it arrives at the front door.
I also liked the easy access to the river walk. They have an exit door on the lower level. The hotel has nice tables and chairs outside if you would like to enjoy the outdoors and watch the boats, people, and ducks go by.
I give the location a 4 because it is further away from a lot of the restaurants and shopping. But for those who love to walking can walk stairs it is a good place.

Danielle was/is wonderful. I have traveled all over, and she is in the top 1% of front desk agents I have encountered. She was approachable; knowledgeable about the area, billing, and more; and willing to assist without rushing anyone. I wanted to pay the bill for my step-daughter and her family, who flew in from Seattle. I explicitly requested that no one should be allowed to change the payment method. I heard there was an attempt made, and my step-daughter was declined. YAY! 🙂 This made me so happy because other people have disregarded such requests, and it caused issues within my family. Danielle expertly handled the billing and made this one of the easiest group visits our family has had in 12 years. Can I recommend a raise for her? The people you choose to represent your business matters and she assists in the Courtyard River Walk being one of the best experiences I have had. Thank you, Danielle. I wish you the very best in all that life has to offer.

This hotel is near the Domingo restaurant, and the offerings at that restaurant are exceptional.

We recently stayed here for the Holiday Light Parade. The service was top notch. We were traveling in a group with three separate rooms. All three rooms were able to check in and we were put right next to each other. Location is great. Walkable to many things. Highly recommend.

We were a little worried after reading other reviews, but overall had a great experience here. It is close to one of the better sections of the Riverwalk (and some of the better restaurants like Biga or Domingo).
Room was spacious, clean, and equipped with a mini fridge. Overall I'd have no problem with booking here again in the future.
Disadvantages to this hotel are that breakfast isn't complimentary nor is parking. Valet parking is offered but almost $50 nightly. Instead, we parked in a nearby overnight parking garage (Rand garage) for $35 nightly.

Great location! Staff was friendly and accommodating. The pillows in our room were flat and hard. It didn't make for a comfy night's rest. Also, all furniture needs a good scrub down. Seeing handprints, etc from previous guests who stayed in the room is kind of gross.
