A large pool with a very safe environment for kids, offering the feeling of being on a tropical beach even in the cold of winter. Fairfax is a city with excellent living amenities for its lovely residents. This is Virginia—the state of love. Love that you can feel in its buildings, roads, forests, and restaurants. Warm and friendly people create an inviting and heartfelt atmosphere here.

Spacious club center. Great place for families to spend time together. The pools are big and have a lot of fun stuff. Well equipped and clean gym. There are kids clubs during school breaks. The clubs (Science Seeds) we attended were great and well planned. The staff was great and friendly too. There are only three vending machines, no food sold here.

Disappointed that the lap pool schedule is not followed. The pool should have been fully open to the public before high school swim practice starting at 3:30pm, but there was swim practice there already when I got there before 3. One thing I would like to note is that the locker room especially the toilet area can get a bit smelly. REC center itself is nice. I just wish there were more lanes open after 9-5 worker times and the lap pool schedule is actually followed more consistently.

What a nice center!

They have a large parking so there is no fear of not being able to park.
The front desk area is spacious.
The gym is very nice with all necessary apparatus.
The pools are wonderful. There is a leisure side type of pool and a more Olympic type pool fit for competitions.

Cub run is a great friendly neighborhood. Rec center. I use it to swim laps. The locker room is clean. The pool is well organized. And at around $50 per month, you can't beat the price.

It’s definitely more kid oriented than other county rec centers I have been to, with slides and other play structures in the shallow water area. Along with the standard lap lanes, there are also a couple short diving boards and a hot tub. The only unfortunate problem they had was a few times the guards had to close the pool because of “contamination” (read kids pooping or vomiting in the pool) but the staff responded swiftly. It’s not the rec center I would choose if I didn’t have the kids with me.

Kids did chemistry merit badge here. Very large gym, good size meeting rooms and beautiful pool… we enjoyed our visit to this recreational center.D
