Downey Swimming Pool offers refreshing retreats for families and swimmers of all levels. Entrance fees are minimal: $4 for adults, $1 for kids, seniors, and people with disabilities. The pool is provided with a deep end for proficient swimmers and also has an area allocated to swimming lessons.

The splash pad is great for younger kids because it offers a safe, fun atmosphere with many water features. Its cleanliness is fantastic throughout, and the friendly, attentive staff make every attraction visit awesome.

The parking can be a problem as the spaces are limited, so one should plan to come a bit earlier or have a backup street-parking option close by. The showers could use minor improvements, but they do work.

Overall, Downey Swimming Pool is an excellent place for swimming and playing in the water, especially during the summers. It is well maintained and offers fun at pocket-friendly prices to one and all. It is highly recommended!

Not fun at all ! I don’t recommend this pool for kids who want to have fun. Life guard are very annoying you can’t do nothing, it was more stressful than anything. I understand the safety but come on my kid is one arm away !

The hours haven’t been updated, but like most LA city run pools they are closed. The last day it was open was labor day weekend. Most LA City pools are open seasonal only.

Great pool. $4 for adults and $1 for kids (CASH only). Has a deep end for more advanced swimmers. And 2 lanes open for swim school. Also a great kiddie pool(splash pad) Complete with fountains and such.Parking is VERY limited so get there early or find street parking(metered) nearby. I recommend this pool

Lifeguard poor duty, and splash breakdown and pool ok just max 7 feet. Locker room, restroom, and shower old fashion but some not yet repair

I like this place. It's only open during the summer and it's fun for the kids. 4 dollars adults 1 dolar for kids. Public access is basically after 1pm and you will need to call for other times because they have classes and during this time, the pools are limited. I have seen the class in one small section but it's always limited. The parking is limited but I have never had problems finding. Maybe because I usually go on the weekends after 1pm. 4 stars because the showers could be a little better. Some won't work but then again, this I believe is paid by the city or the community.

This place is always clean. Never overcrowded. The staff is friendly and engaging. There's a splash pad, perfect for little ones. This place is underrated. I wish it would stay open all year long.
