I definitely recommend running, not walking, away from the Findlay YMCA. All of their facilities—downtown branch, east branch, and child development center—are outdated, overpriced, and poorly maintained. Physical security is lacking, and the staff exudes a misplaced sense of self-importance.

The downtown branch regularly experiences outages with the pool due to constantly broken heaters, leaving members without the advertised amenities. Plumbing issues are prevalent, evident in the frequent appearance of drain flies, and it’s not unusual to find their systems down. The front door system barely functions, so how can members feel safe or comfortable knowing the facility struggles with basic security?

Adding to the frustration, everyone here seems to be a "director," but they’re rude, unfriendly, and consistently unhelpful. Titles seem to matter more than member service, and it shows in every interaction. Rather than investing in quality facilities and member satisfaction, they appear more concerned with projecting an image through public events and golf outings.

Take your hard-earned money elsewhere—this YMCA cares only about appearances, not its members.

Followed around, stalked, and harrassed on more than one occasion by an employee named "Allen". He tried messing with our weights while we were lifting, followed us around during our workouts, cursed at us repeatedly. Been going here for 2 years with 0 problems and have 3-4 friends that are on staff that are super nice and have been nothing but great to me and my friend. Allen's behavior was gross and we'll be taking our gym membership elsewhere. I would not get any sort of membership at this YMCA unless yoy enjoy being harrassed and cursed out while minding your own business. I thought this was supposed to be the Young Mens Christian Association..? Very disappointing.

Pools are always broken, the front staff is more than rude and it doesn’t matter if you speak to the highest person up in power, they truly don’t care. Take your hard earned money somewhere else!

I worked for this ungodly organization for 3 years, and 2022, they obviously didn't mess with city taxes, I was never notified , now I'm being sued by the city of Findlay because of it, Almost a year later, this organization is still a pain in my side

The pool seemed extremely cold. When we first got there, there were some elderly people who got mad because my 2 young grandkids were jumping in the pool. We tried to stay away from them, but they were still annoyed and made no qualms about telling the life guard to make sure we stop. There was a lot of grit on the bottom of the pool
