3 stars is generous. The evening staff when I arrived for check in was not friendly. The atmosphere was very depressing. I had the worst hotel sausage gravy here for breakfast. Watery and not seasoned. The hotel is located in a high crime area but had zero issue with any of that during my stay.

The regional operations manager replied to my first review . I did stay there when this review was written , I was on company business and my room was booked under Anissa Sullivan which is the admin at our location . If you looked up my information you would see how many hotels I have stayed at through IHG so trust me when I say I am reviewing the correct property. Please take the time you took researching me and address the issues your property has. No complaints. Very clean, and smelled clean, new renovations done in many areas. Security gate all around the property. Convenient located to Walmart, Target, and several fast food establishments. Lots of construction affected some exits trying to get there, so be careful. We would stay again.

Was a great experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and clean. Easy access to freeway. Breakfast could use a few more options but good overall. Would recommend this location. Parking was good as well.

The stay was awesome, however the door was extremely hard hard to open for myself and for my wife, who had rotator cuff surgery and the door was extremely hard hard hard to pull open and to push open and close. The staff said that all of the doors were like that and would be like that until more guest use them. The room did not have a DO NOT DISTURB sign and when mentioned one we as placed in my door. Still an awesome stay and hospitality 👍🏽

The location is a good location coming in from Houston. I stayed here coming from Houston to take my daughter to Sea World, the the River Walk, the Alamo, etc. You can tell that the hotel is not in the "safest" area. It does have plenty of places in the area to go to; Walmart across the street, Chick-Fil-A not far, Sam's Club not far, etc.

The rooms were average, nothing more, nothing less. As long as my daughter was happy, I was happy. There is breakfast in the morning; bacon, eggs, biscuits, waffle maker, muffins, OJ, etc. Picking a hotel with breakfast is a non-negotiable when you have kids. The hotel is in a good location from downtown and everything that San Antonio has to offer.

You can tell the hotel has been there; it needs to be updated and renovated; though that would drive the price up. I think I payed about $100 a night, which was a good price. I've stayed at Holiday Inn's before that was close to $160 a night and had much less amenities to enjoy around. I would recommend anyone to stay there for a good price, good service, and close to everything in San Antonio.

We needed a quick one night stay on a road trip. We always had a postive experience with H I Express, so booked here. There was a musty smell in lobby, halls and room. The bed linens felt damp so we put AC on high while we went get something to eat to try to dry out humidity in room. Furniture in room was old, worn and in need of replacing. Towel bar in bathroom was loose and wobbling. Road construction in front of hotel was not hotel's fault but added a negative feel to hotel.
The breakfast was good, abundant and coffee was hot. The workers were very kind and helpful.

Stephanie & Valerie at the front desk were amazing! I had a “girl” issue & they went above & beyond to help. They did more then just check us in, they really helped in a moment that I really needed it. I could have cared less what the room looked like with such excellent service but everything was immaculate, really exceeded expectations all the way around.
