Leytonstone Leisure Centre has truly transformed after its long-awaited refurbishment! The facility now looks fresh, clean, and bright, making it an absolute pleasure to use.

Leytonstone leisure centre has such a warm, friendly community feel. I love my visits to this facility. Staff are extremely helpful and professional. I enjoy using the sauna occasionally after my swim session. Must also commend the recent works up levelling the centre all round. Noticeable mention of the tremendous work to clean the pool tiles by hand over Christmas. Your hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed.

I've been a member at Better Leytonstone for four years it has always been a good gym and swimming pool but since the refurb it is now perfect.

The gym has loads of new equipment and is always clean and bright. You never have to queue for machines and there are loads of free weights.

The swimming pool is great and the upgraded changing rooms are warm and clean. Easy place to bring a baby for a swim and really great swimming teachers for older children.

Last and most importantly, all of the lads and ladies who work at the facility are fantastic. Always super friendly and have sorted me out a few times. They make Better Leytonstone so welcoming and a wonderful place to workout.

Stop the press: the pools were cleaned over Christmas 2024 and this centre is back to its absolute best! Leave your goggles at home because with pools this clean you're going to want to feel the water passing right over your corneas! Is that too weird? Maybe, but that's the google reviews vibe!

Honestly though as someone who started swimming here in roughly May 2023, and has seen the centre go through a huge renovation in that time, if you've been before and not liked it, now is the time to give it another chance. The newly refurbished changing rooms are spacious, clean and inviting. The sauna has been thoroughly jazzed up and smells like a scandinavian spa holiday. The showers are warm and... wet? I'm even using the gym, against my best intentions. Also a shout out for the staff who are pretty much all very helpful, knowledgeable about fitness, and motivating.

Just go, what are you waiting for? New year, new you, new pools!

The refurbished pool is great! The changing areas are spacious and the new tiles are anti-slip. Such an improvement !

The aqua fitness classes with Siana on Monday lunch time are a blast! Fantastic Latin vibes and a teacher who brings tons of positive energy! Thank you Siana!

Now we need more aqua fitness classes! Especially in the evening as currently there are only 2 classes per week, both at lunch time.

And a little effort should be made to ensure that the Thursday noon class starts on time. In the four months I have been attending, not once has this particular aqua class started at noon. Can someone have a word with the staff teaching that class? Thank you!

I’ve been coming to Better Gyms for over a decade and I’ve never met a member of staff as amazing as Linda Magill. She has made me feel so welcome and talks to me like I’ve been coming here for years. She bends over backwards to help every patron of the centre and I think she’s absolutely brilliant! Leytonstone Leisure Centre is absolutely fantastic! The recent renovations have been great, and it’s wonderful to see everything up and running again. The facilities are super, making it a great place for the whole family to enjoy. A special shout-out to Tash, the receptionist, who is incredibly helpful, patient, and just a delight to interact with – she really adds a personal touch to the experience. The staff overall are so friendly and welcoming. It’s such a pleasure to visit, and I couldn’t recommend it more!
