I’ve been coming to this gym for 1+ year and I definitely have some concerns. The stairs machines haven’t worked well since I signed up, only one “works well” and even that one still have some issues.
They just have ONE smith machine and is broken. Only ONE abductors machine and is broken. The recovery room was supposed to be working 1 month after I signed, and still not open to the public.
I don’t know who runs the gym, but looks like they don’t care that much. Still the only gym around instead of planet fitness and thinking about changing for that one.
Anyway, they have a good place but someone who really cares and wants to re-invest the money needs to get in charge.

This gym is a total dump. It always smells like vomit, machines are always broken and/or falling apart. The weights are always a mess and all over the place. They charge you more now and don't offer regular towels and paper towels like they use to. The cleaning crew sucks. The mens locker room looks like a hood rat dump. It hasn't been cleaned all year and the year is almost over.?‍♂️ The toilets look so damn nasty, that I think I would catch a diseases if I sat on them?. The sauna is so gross and so disgusting. The only time this gym was clean was when the spanish girl who always sings was there, but I haven't seen her there the past couple of weeks. The managers don't seem to care about anything there. It's just a shame that this place has gone down hill so fast. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who is serious about working out at all. My pictures below are from several different days and weeks proving that no one cleans the mens locker room ever.

For the amount I’m paying in membership, this is absolutely disgraceful. This gym is crowded constantly and dirty. There’s not enough machines and the machines that we do have are all falling apart. As of yesterday at least four or five machines or out of service. This is completely unacceptable. There needs to be more machines of higher quality and better cleaning procedures periods if that’s not the case then
Management needs to reduce the membership prices significantly. This is not your New York sports club that you think it is. Don’t let the name fool you.

I see Management commenting on everybody’s one star reviews saying that they will improve the experience, but I’ve been here long enough to see no improvement.

Always packed and always smells. Most of the barbells and curl bars are completely missing from the gym, which is a huge issue when I’m trying to get a proper workout. There’s a frustrating gap in the available weights—they jump from 50 lbs to 80 lbs with nothing in between. It’s incredibly inconvenient and makes it nearly impossible to follow my routine. How has this not been addressed by simply adding new barbells to the gym?

The maintenance and cleanliness of this place is decadent. My husband finds the lockers full of things from people who leave them overnight every day, leaving no room for others. They have been like this, used and dirty piled up for weeks. They don't clean the sinks either and there are a lot of flies flying around.

Please read before making the decision of signing up to this location. This is the biggest mistake i have made of
My life of signing up to this location and the worse i been going to this location for long time this most disgusting and unprofessional staff and rude trainers . Tue management is horrible and they don't care about anything first they close down the forest hills location and this location is full of people cant get proper workout on top of that every machine they brought has been broken and takes them months to fix them . They promise you a-lot of stuff before signing up and they dont end up doing them like the boxing punches we been begging i only go here because it is close to me . And they raise the pricing which is unbelievable paying 57 a month for broken gym when we ask them why they did that it is because they did renovation. That is not the reason they raised it it mainly because they are going bankrupt it is because they spend so much money on astoria location and they want to make by raising on rego. Come on do better the gym is not clean at all sauna is always broken and people pee in there and flies are everywhere which is disgusting. No one re racks anything nor the staff and every machine is broken every week and we have to pay 57 cause you guys did renovation which helped no one. And the fact the elevator has been broken for years and still hasn’t been fixed and the elders has to use the stairs Save your money and go somewhere else this is not the gym you want to be !!!!!!!!!!

This gym and it has been a truly horrible experience. Every machine is broken, and the management clearly doesn't care about anything. The staff are incredibly rude, and the bathroom is disgusting flies are everywhere and sauna is broken every week people pee in there .They promised me a punching bag, which was the only reason I signed up, but they still haven't brought any. If I want to use the punching bag upstairs, they say it's only for personal trainers and I have to pay extra. To top it all off, they keep increasing the prices for no reason. This gym is a complete disaster and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere else!

I’m extremely disappointed with this gym. They promised boxing punching bags when I signed up, but they still haven’t delivered on that promise. On top of that, they increase the membership fees every year without any improvements. The new management is horrible; everything is broken, and it takes them months to fix anything. I would not recommend this gym to anyone looking for a reliable and well-maintained facility.
