Awful and Needs Maintenance - all the slides were closed. The infant pool was closed. No reasons provided. The main pool needs major maintenance. I found a 4 inch screw driver at the bottom of the shallow end. It’s dirty. Staff is unfriendly at best. I do not know where my taxes go but it’s not to upkeep.

We had such a fun summer at this pool almost every day fir the past month! Very baby-friendly, as the pool has a sloped entrance and a side that’s very shallow, which was so needed since the baby pool was closed most of the season. The staff is so wonderful. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because it’s been understaffed - so the features are almost always turned off (the slides, baby pool, half of the pool, all out for every 15 mins of the hour instead of adult swim), but the staff that are there are always awesome. If dc gov could get this place more staffed so that the features could be opened, and we could have adult swim instead of all out, that would make it so much more fun!

Our favorite DC pool for kids - especially if you've got bigs and littles together!

Best part is the HUGE shallow area. There are two separate shallow entrances, one with a splash feature and one without. Toddlers have a large space to play and wander that's still connected to the main pool where your older kids might be playing.

There are also two water slides, one that lands in a shallow area safe for littler kids, but the slides are closed 90% of the time due to short staffing. If you happen to pop in when a slide is open, five stars!!!!

There is a separate toddler pool, but it's almost always closed.

The main pool closes for 15 minutes every hour for a lifeguard break, as at all city pools.

Through summer 2021 have been visiting almost weekly with my 3yr old. Rosedale pool has been clean, lifeguards are strict (in a good way) and my daughter loves it. Some features like slides and kiddie pool are mostly shut down, but to me those are just icing. Was impressed that during a "sanitation event" they immediately shut down the pool for two days, drained it, cleaned it, and re-filled it. Inconvenient but reassuring. Bathrooms are too cold, feels like 59 degrees, but better that than too hot!

It is ever full of young people. Free for all DC residents and they also have a ground for football if you are not very pool. Employees are there if you need any help. Everything is very good except it is not very large and sometimes it is full very quickly. It can be confusing to come and be obliged to return at home because there are already too lot of people in.

Got the whistle blown at me for trying to swim laps in the lap lane. After discussion with the life guard I was told that, that part of the pool was closed because there was less then 20 people in the pool. After a quick head count, there was 24 people inside the pool. Magically the number became 25 people to allow me to swim in that part of the pool/swim laps(and then another life guard came and interrupted and sad the rule is 26 people?). I am in my 30s, a seasoned swimmer and the depth of the lap lane is 3feet 6inches. I just wanted to swim some laps.

Slides have not worked all season, half of pool is closed at any time with no explanation. The upkeep has seriously declined over the last 5 years. Needs better maintenance!

Great facility and community resource! Staff is sometimes inconsistent when explaining or enforcing rules, but it's Free for DC residents, has a zero-entry, a few fountains to splash in and water slides open from 3-5. Can't beat that!
