Sehr gutes Schwimmbad. 2 Becken. Eine ist mit sehr warmen Wasser, das andere, das größere mit etwas Kälterem, aber beides sind angenehm, auch in den Morgenstunden. Vormittags und am Wochenende keine Reservierungspflicht. Generell keine Mitgliedschaft erforderlich.

I love the swim center! The lap swimming in the deep pool is fantastic. The shallower and warmer pool is great for recreational swimming, kiddo swim classes, or when you want to do more relaxed laps. And all this under the beautiful SoCal skies! The change rooms are also always in good shape.

And then they threw an AMAZING Halloween party this past week! Who knew that pumpkins float! So fun!

很美的露天泳池，游起來非常舒適。有十餘條泳道，深與淺皆有。與人共用時是單線來回，這點跟台灣較不一樣。二樓可以曬日光浴讀書。偶爾會辦運動會活動。在2023年底時非當地居民為9美元一次

In A Nutshell:

-The Santa Monica Swim Center is a really nice facility.
-I liked how easy it was to find & how clean it was.
-Santa Monica residents only pay a $4.50 entrance fee & non-residents pay $9.
-You can also purchase a 20 swim deal.
-The changing room/restroom for men was big & spacious w/ good showers.
-The pool for lap swimming has designated areas that are labeled: slow, medium & fast.

Overall, I've always preferred outdoor swimming & this facility exceeded my expectations.

Open to the public for very few hours and fir very limited time. Very bureaucratic to deal with. The public is not allowed to use the parking lot. So you get to walk to your car shivering and wet to your vehicle which probably has a big fat Santa monica parking ticket on it.

Best place to swim if you are a serious swimmer. Two pools. Lots of lanes. Highly motivated swimmers. Great atmosphere at 5.30 a.m. right through the day until the evening. For me, the serious swimmers inspire the edge on my own serious devotion. State swimmers and Olypians train there with their coaches so it's a fantastic atmosphere at certain times of the day. Also, a great pool for a relaxing swim or to take children. There is a grass verge and tables and chairs and a sun deck. Staff are professional and friendly. Facilities are clean. All round great investment of time and energy for wellbeing and happiness. Also, a short bus ride/or car drive to the ocean and lots of great places to eat on Main Street or in the lower numbers of Santa Monica. Yes, I'm a loyal fan of swimming and Santa Monica! CHECK pool opening times due to Santa Monica College schedule. The pool is NOT open to the public from 5.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. every day.

What a great community resource. We did lap swimming when 17 lanes were open. Didn't need to share a lane. Water was clean and not too cold. Maybe 80 degrees or slightly higher.
