The Shangri-La Lobby Lounge is truly exceptional! The staff are incredibly warm and attentive, and the ambiance is nothing short of soothing. Whether you’re coming here for a romantic date or catching up with friends, it’s the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy.

I’ve visited many times, and it never fails to impress. If you’re celebrating a special occasion, such as a birthday or anniversary, they go above and beyond to make the experience memorable and thoughtful. I’ve celebrated both my birthday eve and anniversary here, and each visit has been delightful.

The vibe is sophisticated, offering a serene and laid-back atmosphere—ideal for those who prefer a peaceful and elegant environment over the hustle and bustle of a club. Highly recommend for a refined and relaxing outing.

We went for high tea today and everything absolutely exceeded our expectations! The atmosphere is so relaxing, beautiful but very comfortable. The food in the Asian inspired menu was so delicious, by far the best I have ever had at high tea. But the best part still was the service! Every single person we interacted with was so kind and really just exceptional - they took great care of us and my nearly one year old baby! Thank you!

I have been here more than 15 times but my recent experience was disappointing.

The atmosphere and service were great as always, but the overall experience was disappointing due to issues with food quality, order accuracy, and seating.

For desserts priced at over $20 each, I expected better. The ice cream had an unpleasant taste, as well as gelatine in the cheesecake. The truffle Parmesan fries had the smallest amount of cheese and truffle I’ve ever seen anywhere and the fries were dry.

There were also multiple mistakes with our order—bartender served soda instead of a gin and tonic, and instead of two aioli sauces for the fries, we received two ketchups. Having to constantly ask for corrections took away from the experience.

Seating was another issue. Initially, we weren’t allowed to sit in the lobby, but later we were moved there. By 12:15 AM, four tables were still “reserved,” yet no one ever showed up till the end of the night. It seemed like they were just holding them unnecessarily.

This place has always been a favorite, but food quality and service accuracy need improvement.

The high tea at the Shangri-La Hotel in Toronto was an exquisite experience. The elegant ambiance, delicious teas, and beautifully crafted pastries made for a perfect afternoon. A special thanks to our server, Sanjana, whose warm, attentive service and expert explanations of the food and tea recommendations truly elevated our visit. Highly recommended for a luxurious and memorable treat.
And we were lucky enough to see Arnold Schwarzenegger at the table behind us too!

Awesome all around. Great atmosphere! They had a piano player, then a small band. Best drinks. Best paper plane anywhere! Friendly, professional service. Benjamin remembered us from last time, maybe that isn’t a good thing lol. So comfortable. Like being at home. Want to say thank you to Benjamin, Valentine and crew for taking such good care of us! I definitely recommend and will definitely keep coming back!!! Love it!!

We enjoy afternoon tea Lunar New Year menu annually and it somehow manages to continue to exceed expectations.

The food is always so well crafted and tasty. Atmosphere here with live music such an enjoyable plus.

Visually this year the year of the Dragon, hotel Shangri-La outdid themselves - stunning decor.

We would like to visit more often however look forward to our annual tradition.

Paid a visit to celebrate 30 years of Cathay Pacific! Our high-tea tower included both savory and sweet pastries. The lobster bao and the Cathay Pacific Trifle were my favourite, packed with delightful flavours! Thank you Ashley, our lovely waitress for giving us the best experience. The raspberry mocktail was really good as well, such a refreshing summer drink.

Quick service,nice ambience,excellent food  presentation and beautiful crockery.
Definitely food tastes good ,sweet and salty snacks.
The food portions are  very small and more like tasting samples. The Tea menu has variety  of flavors like black tea,  jasmine and camomile etc. When we visited lobby for high tea around 1:30 pm this July, it was quite noisy as it is near the entrance. The high tea menu and prices are fixed. It's always advisable to book in advance.
