Das Hotel hat uns leider von der Lage her nicht überzeugt. Es ist zwar sehr zentral..River Walk und The Alamo in 10 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Jedoch ist die Gegend sehr von Armut geprägt und man fühlt sich unwohl. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Besonders der junge Herr (rothaarig) beim Valet Parken war sehr zuvorkommend. Das Parken kostet 30 Dollar pro Nacht was wirklich viel Geld ist. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und mit einer Küche ausgestattet.

Never heard of this brand, but booked late close to travel date. First, 1 star off for the price gouge due to the time we stayed for the Alamo Bowl-- 3 times the regular rate!

Initial room had no water connected to the toilet, but quickly remedied by moving to another room. They are newly refurbished and nicely appointed. Location was kind of close, but saying it was walking distance was a bit of a stretch for us.

PROS: The staff was nice; Comfortable bed
CONS: Mandatory Valet Parking for $40 per day; The toilet paper was see through sandpaper; No exhaust fan in the toilet area; Breakfast mediocre (and no bananas)

BEST HOTEL AND CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST we have ever stayed at. I wish we stayed more than one night here. Hotel's location was fabulous. 2 min walk from the River Walk. Valet attendant was friendly, helpful and courteous. Front desk rep was warm and welcoming. Our room was beautiful! All the features are functional. The continental breakfast was amazing. Food that's actually hot and edible. The best we've had. They had eggs with cheese omelet, bacon/sausage, potatoes, pancake maker with toppings, baked goods, juice bar. We'll be booking with Sonesta for our future accommodation needs!

Only complaint: our room was immaculate however, the tub was clogging when I was taking a shower. After further investigation, I found out there was a big chunk of hair clogging the drain. Notified the front desk and they were apologetic.

Positive: I liked that the suite was very spacious and each room had a full onsuite bath, so everyone had privacy. The room was very clean and the room decor was nice, Negative: I just had two issues 1) On the last day when we got up to take a shower we had no hot water. 2) We had dishes to eat out of but no pots or pans to cook in.

The hotel was nice although we had gotten out car battery stolen from our dodge charger. The valet themselves was not helpful regarding this situation and have made a report with the police so this does not happen to anyone again! The hotel was able to only reimburse us for one night of the parking which does not even cover the amount our car battery was. We will never stay here again!

There were quite a few issues with our stay but I am giving this hotel 3 stars because the service and location were excellent. First, we had no idea there would be construction happening. At 8am each morning we woke up to loud construction noise.

Second, there was a motion sensor light in our suite that kept turning on between 2a-5a (it was on a night timer apparently?). I requested this be turned off but no one got to it until day 3 of our stay.

Third, we were told there would be light housekeeping on day three of our stay. That was fine. Except there was no housekeeping. I had to call down to the front desk and was told they accidentally took clean towels to a different room.

When we tried to check out, the person at the front said we couldn't check out because we hadn't paid, even though we paid when we checked in. It was a mess.

I called once I arrived home and Maria was incredibly helpful. She sorted everything out over the phone. I was checked out properly, she sent an invoice and apologized for all the issues.

The location of this hotel is great and the front desk people are wonderful. Their communication appears to be lacking though. I stay at many hotels each year and was pretty disappointed by this one seeing that it has so many good reviews. Maybe I just caught it at a bad time?

Positive: This hotel is minutes away from the Riverwalk, the Alamo, and many restaurants. The breakfast is good (and complimentary). What you pay for parking is pretty much the same as all the other hotels. Negative: Everything was good.
