The location of this hotel is at Crossroads. You can get to basically any area of San Antonio using the highways you're literally staying next to. It's very convenient, but that also means there is a lot of traffic. The hotel has done great, making the outside noise as minimal as possible, but you do hear cars as they rev and race through the lights which is normal anywhere. The area is safe but has a lot of homeless. As you enter the hotel, you have a waiting area and a large eating area. Everything is very clean. I didn't see the gym, but their pool is outside. The elevator is crazy. It will start going up without doors closed, and the more people in it cause it to drop more significantly as you get to your floor. I must mention that for breakfast, everything seemed really fresh, but the coffee by far was the worst I've had at a hotel, which was disappointing but was always available. For the room, we were on the 3rd floor..not too much foot traffic. We had double queens with sofa bed/trundle. The square footage on the room was fantastic. It did not feel small. However, the lighting was so bad. There were plenty of lights, but you had to be right under them or under bathroom light to read anything. Very strange. I probably just need white lights or maybe update fixtures. The bathroom had a walk-in shower, loud vent, hot water, and great pressure, which is very rare to all have. The downside is you had to back into the shower or go on the side of the toilet to close the door, not practical. I think overall, the hotel was convenient for the location and staff very friendly.

SpringHill Suites, San Antonio, TX

Unfortunately, our experience at SpringHill Suites in San Antonio was disappointing and far from what we expected based on their advertisements.

First, the hotel falsely advertised having waffles for breakfast, which was a key reason we booked. Upon arrival, we discovered there were no waffles, leaving us feeling misled. Breakfast options were underwhelming and didn’t live up to the promised amenities.

Second, the elevator felt extremely unsafe. It’s old, shaky, and makes unsettling noises, leaving us hesitant to use it. For a chain hotel like SpringHill Suites, I expected much better maintenance.

Lastly, the parking lot was a significant concern. It was filled with homeless individuals, which made us feel uneasy about our safety and the security of our vehicle. While we understand homelessness is a broader issue, the hotel should take measures to ensure the safety and comfort of their guests.

Overall, the lack of advertised amenities, poor maintenance, and safety concerns made this stay disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend staying here until improvements are made.

My husband and I took our grandson to a tennis tournament at the Springhill Suites in San Antonio/Medical Center NW from December 27th through January 1st. Everything about our stay was a great experience...everyone from the breakfast staff to housekeeping, maintenance and the front desk personnel where over the top accommodating but especially the Operations Manager Marisa Garcia. I had some continuing education classes that I had to finish before the end of the year and when available she made a quiet space for me to work. They all truly made you feel like you were in a home away from home! Thank you all, best hotel I have stayed in a long time!

The lady at check in was super nice. Overall, the hotel seemed in good condition and the the room was great, clean and comfortable. I would have given this hotel 5 stars instead of 4 if it weren’t for the little baby roach crawling on the door frame outside of the room.

Great location with easy access to a variety of medical clinics nearby. Check In was friendly, and easy, and early! Nice staff! Our room is large, and the layout is very nice. The bed and linens are fine. Things less favorable include: very low toilet (15”?), no clock radio (clock is on the microwave), Wi-Fi very slow, per speed test, (9 mps for both upload and download speeds), no lotion (we carry an extra little bar since we haven’t yet converted to the large bottles attached to the shower wall), and finally, the desk chair is in very poor condition, and is more like a rocking chair! Again, the staff was great, and the room was clean and spacious.

Amazing management, great location. The Operations Manager was very hands on in making sure that everything at the property was in order. She’s comes really early and stays really late at night, you would see how much care she has towards the property and its guests.

Great hotel with an outdoor pool, 24 hour exercise room, and free breakfast. There's plenty of parking in front with two parking decks. Rooms are spacious and clean.

CUSTOMER BEWARE!!!
The room and such was all well but when I was checking out, I found the back passanger window of my truck smashed and my middle console searched through. When I asked the front desk they simply said "oh yeah it happened last night. I was waiting for you to walk back in. Here's the number to make a report." And that's it. They weren't planning to reimburse me or even help me clean out the glass from my truck. To top it off, someone else had their vehicle broken into that same night. I understood now why they had "Park at your Own risk" signs at their parking lots, this is something that seems to happen often according to the cleaning crew.
