Last year I had a knee replacement and had water therapy at SWAC. The staff there were very friendly and helpful when needed. I was there very early as our therapy sessions occurred before the regular swim hours. The facility is always clean and organized. The only customers are the little ones that were taking swimming lessons at the same time or before we had our therapy sessions. The kids were toddlers and younger which surprised me but I guess it makes sense if you are a family that has a pool at home you need to make sure that your little ones can swim if they fall in accidentally or are left unattended at the wrong time. All the kids seemed to be enjoying their lessons even though the classes were very regimented. In fact in the few short weeks of my therapy I was able to see improvement s in the kids swimming skills! Some were more significant than others but all of them improved in a short time. I think a lot of it was the trust that they had for their instructors and also the confidence they had in themselves. As they realized that they were capable of swimming across the pool their stamina and form began to improve as well. I was truly impressed with the staff and the facility. If you’re looking for a clean facility with comfortable shower and changing rooms, indoor and outdoor pools and multiple lap options for competitive strength training and growth then SWAC is for you!

Swim Houston Aquatic Center stands as Houston’s foremost aquatic facility, known for its impeccable cleanliness, affordability, and the exceptional guidance offered by its instructors. Micah, my dedicated swimming coach for nearly a year, consistently radiated kindness, politeness, and an unwavering belief in each learner’s potential to reach their highest capability. My time at SHAC was a profound journey of learning, and were it not for my work-related relocation, I would unquestionably continue as a devoted regular. We had an absolutely awesome 7th birthday here for my daughter. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The lifeguards were very engaged and attentive. The set up was perfect and my daughter had so much fun. I wish this facility was closer to our house so we could go regularly.

This place is such an awesome facility! My daughter can’t wait for her lessons with Coach Jacob. Saw such an improvement in her
swimming and in her confidence level after just a few lessons with him!

They host birthday parties is well. Daughter just had a birthday party there recently and she had a blast! They provide lifeguards as well during these parties. You get out $100 off if you are member!

Our children need to learn how to swim, that’s a must. Most deaths under the age of 5yrs occur due to a pool/water related death. This is main reason why I started group lessons for my daughter at 3yr (they offer private lessons as well if that’s more suitable).

They even offer private lessons for adults. I need to undergo these classes, my child will be the one saving my life as of now!

Ahhh!! ... Pool for the lessons is warm and used for the parties as well! Plenty of places for kids to shower and dress afterward!

Awesome place for lap swimming, with a 25yd option and a 50m option. Very clean, excellent aeration -- pool temp was cool despite 100 degree heat outside. Shower and changing stalls are utilitarian but serves their purpose. Amazingly affordable. I will definitely come back. In case anyone is interested, they also offer swim lessons in their indoor pool. I saw a few young students who seemed to be having fun.

We love the SHAC! Not only are the coaches amazing, but their admin is great too (always easy to schedule, pay, and they're very response). My toddler has been at this school for 8 months, and she's already floating and swimming from one short side of the pool to the other. Coach Kayla is a fantastic coach and amazing with my daughter. My daughter gets excited every week in anticipation for her swim class. My mother, an elder, has learned to swim within the year of her going, and she never knew how to swim. Now my husband is enrolled! If you're looking for a swim class, at any age, I highly recommend the SHAC! I also know they have a great swim team.
