This pool would get 5 stars from me if it weren’t such a poor experience for lap swimmers. Not only do they only give you 6-8 am hours for lap swimming, but half the time when I’ve come at 6/6:15 am to swim, no staff is there to have opened the pool! Also, they didn’t even offer this 6-8 am lap swim option until END OF JUNE when every other outdoor pool follows the typical Memorial Day - Labor Day opening season. They claimed it was because they rely on students as staff and they were still in school till then which I can understand, but come on guys you can hire some non-students and fix this problem. I pay a full summers membership (the price of which increases every summer) yet I have a full month LESS of use because of this.

Also, they claim to have the pool blocked off for private lessons after 8 am, but I can actually see the pool from my apartment and can see that no lessons are even going on (attached a picture of the pool on a Wednesday morning at 8:45 am). Why can’t lap swimmers at least use the lanes that aren’t being used for lessons alongside?

Lastly, their website and many emails from are full of highlighted / bolded / underlined / all of the above stuff that it’s hard to follow what their hours even are to try to follow them myself, and I’ve tried!!

Look - I don’t mean to be a Karen here, but I just want to find a place to be able to swim (especially outside in the summer!) and it’s hard/expensive to be able to do this. I was a swimmer my whole life, I love getting to do it, and it really shouldn’t be this difficult. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

Great new facilities. Adult lap pool, kid pool with water slide, large splash pad and small infant pool. Lounge chairs and umbrellas. Currently non-Weehawken residents are only allowed to use it in the mornings from 9-12 and you have to sign up a week in advance. Great views of NYC! Needs better access.

Place is nice the only thing is the kids pool is freezing while the adult's pool is heated they should made both of them heated and the kids pool is 3'6 inches if you a small child you have to be accompanied can't swim alone and the slide has to 4'8 to go down

Nice facilities and gorgeous view. I wish the quality of the lifeguards was not so poor. They are too busy flirting with each other to monitor the pool. I watched in amazement as my timer reached the 2 minute mark without a single glance at the water. As a former lifeguard instructor I was appalled by this. They need a fresh crop of lifeguards or clear expectations from their management.

Weehawken got their money's worth when building this outdoor facility
The pool facility includes two pools. One pool has an unorthodox shape and a waterslide which kids will love. The second pool is ideally set up to function both as a lap pool and general pool. There are plenty of lifeguards on hand. Additionally, there is also a splash pad area for little kids. There is ample room on the deck to sunbathe and hang out. There is also a shower outside to rinse off after exiting the pool. The facility has a locker room with curtained changing areas. If you intend to use a locker, be sure to bring your own lock. There is a spot at the facility for a snack bar, although there isn't one setup. I've heard that in future there will be a snack bar.

This place was built off money from the state. Then found a loophole for their residents. Now charges crazy prices and limits use to non-residents. Scum people
