Several of the reviews of this pool seem not to consider that the facility is a public pool, built and operated by the government.

The locker rooms could be better designed, and there are minor inefficiencies in places. Regardless, this is a beautiful outdoor space that is consistently well-maintained, clean and staffed by friendly and engaged people.

On top of that, on the rare occasions where there have been issues with the facility or a reservation, I have found the staff to be overly communicative (multiple phone calls, clear online updates, etc.). More than exceeds my expectations.

The pool is fantastic. It’s beautiful with a great view and kept clean.

Everything else about this place sucks. You have to book a time to swim laps a week in advance. Many times you have to share a lane with 2 or 3 other people of varying skill levels.

Whoever designed the locker rooms has obviously never used one. There’s no place to hang a bag, no place to set soaps etc while showering. Just a tiny narrow shower stall with no cutouts or hooks for anything. The changing area is shoved into a tiny corner with one bench… there’s no space for patrons to change or get to lockers while someone is changing. The holes on the locker locks are too small for a normal master lock to fit through.

There’s a couple of shower stalls on the pool level that are decent but they tend to be taken quickly and the sensor on the toilets causes them to flush every 90 seconds or so which messes with the water temperature.

I go cause it’s what’s available but I wouldn’t recommend it.

For $3 a day I would not swim here which is what they charge. This is not a facility for the elite, staff and patrons are rude and gossip if they don't like you. Stay away if you are affluent and enjoy privacy

I had an outstanding experience at the West Hollywood Aquatics & Recreation Center! The pristine cleanliness of the water truly impressed me, ensuring a refreshing and enjoyable swim. The best part was the limited crowd, creating a peaceful and relaxing environment. I loved the reservation system for swimming, which allowed me to plan my visit with ease. This center is undoubtedly a gem for those seeking a serene and hygienic aquatic haven. Five stars without a doubt!

Amazing pool, very well maintained. Amazing views over the roof top the pools are located. The staff is super aware and they are extra helpful if you are new. The changing rooms are clean. Or is still one of the gems of West Hollywood!

Great pool, unsafe women’s locker room. No door and you can see into it from the men’s, and both are entrances are colored pink which just adds to the suspense that a guy can even walk in on accident. The stalls on deck also lack a solid door and it’s just small bathroom stall door barely better than a curtain with a ton of cracks, so there’s really not an actual closed door area for women’s privacy. It is extremely uncomfortable to change, and I wouldn’t let my kids change there either. Locker rooms are hidden, not divided at the entrance per standard for safety. It’s just verrrrry uncomfortable to change or shower when at all the changing areas you can hear and see men right next to you. But the pool is nice, I just like to shower after swimming so I haven’t been back.

*update*…judging by the sarcastic response, there’s zero concern about safety of women or children swimmers. I would 100% recommend to the aquatics manager to read up on how this kind of attitude worked out at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center a few years ago…..
